Kingswood is philosophically affiliated with The United Methodist Church. Founded on the principles of the Wesleyan tradition of John Wesley, our vision of a well Kingswood is one which encompasses mind, body and soul.
Spiritual wellness is important for every person. The more a person feels his/her
life to have meaning and purpose, the more that individual is healthy in all aspects
of life.
The spiritual care department, under the direction of our full time chaplain, helps residents, families and staff to discover their own spiritual resources for health and healing. A variety of support groups give persons the opportunity to share with others as we seek meaning holistically. Weekly worship services and Bible Studies provide more formal avenues for expressions of faith. Regardless of religious affiliation, Kingswood provides both personal and communal opportunities to share concern for one another, express thankfulness, and tend to the well being of all who we are as persons.
Our full-time chaplain offers all residents, regardless of religious affiliation, pastoral care, weekly vespers, inter-denominational services, Bible study, prayer circles and a variety of support and self-help groups.
